Boab Metals takes the baton at Ord Valley Muster

Emerging base and precious metal miner, Boab Metals, will become the new naming sponsor for the Ord Valley Muster in 2022 and 2023.

Now an iconic Kimberley event, the Ord Valley Muster has just completed and celebrated its 20th year.

Managing Director of Boab Metals, Simon Noon said Boab Metals is incredibly proud to become the naming sponsor of the Muster in 2022,

“The Muster brings together the vibrant Kununurra community and attracts thousands of visitors to experience the stunning landscape, cultural diversity and famous Kimberley hospitality,” said Mr Noon.

“Taking on the naming rights sponsorship from Rio Tinto and the Argyle Diamond Mine is a big step for Boab Metals. Over the years they have made a vital contribution to Kununurra in terms of employment and community support,” said Mr Noon.

Boab Metals’ is developing the Sorby Hills project, which is located 50 kilometres north-east of Kununurra and 150 kilometres from Wyndham Port.

The Sorby Hills project will involve over 200 construction personnel at its peak and over 170 operations personnel and we are committed to sourcing many of these roles from the Kimberley Region.

“As the Sorby Hills project is developed our role in Kununurra and the local community will continue to grow,” said Mr Noon.
“We look forward to playing our role in the growth and prosperity of region,” said Mr Noon.
