Simon NoonManaging Director & CEO
Simon is an experienced executive having spent the past 12 years’ managing Public Resources Companies. Simon has a strong background in strategic management, business planning, finance and capital raising, and experience with a variety of commodities.
Simon’s experience includes managing Groote Resources Ltd from a Market Cap under $10M, to market highs in excess of $200M. After leaving Groote, Simon co-founded West Rock Resources Ltd, where he held the position of Managing Director until the company was acquired by Boab Metals Ltd in 2013. As Managing Director of West Rock, Simon secured and operated joint ventures and strategic alliances with mid and top tier miners.
Since his appointment in 2013, Simon has managed the Company’s exploration and evaluation of a range of projects including the Berrio high grade gold project in Colombia and the Borroloola West Copper-Zinc-Lead-Silver project in Northern Territory. Most notably, Simon led the Company’s transformative acquisition of Sorby Hills in 2018.
Over the past 3 years, Simon has overseen the rapid development of Sorby Hills including a 50% increase in the size of the Mineral Resource, an approximate tripling of the contained metal in the Measured and Indicated Resource categories and, most recently, the delivery of a high-quality Pre-Feasibility Study detailing the Project’s low risk and robust economics.
Simon is a passionate member of the WA resources industry, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
Gary is an engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the Australian mining industry, with a strong track record in successfully commissioning and operating base metal mines. Gary was Chairman of Finders Resources Limited from 2013 until its take over in 2018, and was previously the Managing Director of Jabiru Metals Limited and the CEO of BGC Contracting Pty Ltd.
Richard MontiNon-Executive Director
Richard is a geologist with over thirty years’ experience in many facets of the exploration and mining industry including technical, commercial, marketing, and finance. Prior to joining Boab, Richard held roles at several international and Australian companies including Anaconda Nickel, Azimuth Resources Limited, The North Group, Normandy Group, and RTZ Exploration. Richard gained extensive business experience through founding and working at Ventnor Capital Pty Ltd, a boutique consultancy firm providing corporate advisory and investment banking services to junior and mid cap listed resource companies.
Richard is currently a director at Black Dragon Gold Limited.
Andrew ParkerNon-Executive Director
Andrew is a lawyer with significant experience in the exploration and mining industry and a wealth of expertise in corporate advisory, strategic consultancy and capital raisings. Before Andrew joined Boab, he co-founded Trident Capital Pty Ltd, a corporate advisory and venture capital firm where he held the position of Managing Director until 2008.
David EnglishChief Operating Officer
David has a wealth of experience gained from nearly 40 years in operations and project development across some of Western Australia’s most prominent resource projects and processing operations.
Kevin ReynoldsProject Metallurgist
Experienced metallurgist and project development manager of 30 years, covering mining and metallurgical operations, project development, process development, feasibility studies and project execution.
Simon DorlingExploration Manager
Geologist with more than 26 years’ experience in exploration, development and the mining of base metals, precious metals, energy minerals and industrial minerals.

The Directors are focused on fulfilling their responsibilities individually, and as a Board, for the benefit of Company stakeholders. This involves recognition of, and a need to adopt, principles of good corporate governance. The Board supports the guidelines on the 'Principles of Good Corporate Governance and Recommendations - 4th Edition' established by the ASX Corporate Governance Council.
Given the size and structure of the Group, the nature of its business activities, the stage of its development, and the cost of strict and detailed compliance with all the recommendations, it has adopted a range of modified systems, procedures and practices which enable the Group to meet the principles of good corporate governance. The Groups' practices are consistent with the guidelines and where these do not directly relate to the recommendations in the guidelines, the Group considers that its adopted practices are appropriate.
