Boab Metals has entered into a new ‘Building Together” partnership agreement with the East Kimberley Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EKCCI), strengthening connections between the Sorby Hills Project and the region’s business community. The Sorby Hills silver-lead project is located approx. 50kms from Kununurra in the East Kimberley, and is Australia’s largest undeveloped, near-surface silver-lead deposit. This 100% owned project is fully funded and under construction, targeting first production in the second half of 2027.
Through the EKCCI partnership, Boab will participate in the Kimberley Business Network, providing a direct channel to engage with businesses and suppliers across the region, understand local capacity and share information about opportunities associated with Sorby Hills.
Boab Managing Director and CEO Simon Noon said the partnership was an important step in strengthening the Project’s regional connections.

Working with EKCCI and Kimberley Business Network will help us better understand the capability that exists across the region, strengthen local participation in our supply chain, and build relationships that will continue as Sorby Hills moves into operations.”
Throughout construction and moving into operations, Sorby Hills will require a broad range of goods and services. Building relationships with the local business community through the EKCCI and Kimberley Business Network will help Boab identify where project requirements can be met locally, whilst giving regional businesses greater visibility of upcoming opportunities and pathways to participate in the Sorby Hills supply chain.
The partnership will support Boab’s ongoing engagement with the East Kimberley business community as Sorby Hills progresses, with a focus on increasing local content and regional participation in the Project’s supply chain.
